Host nation Kenya wrapped up an impressive campaign at the 2026 Rafting World Cup Series by winning 13 more medals on the final day of competition in the Slalom event, bringing their overall medal tally to 33 across the three race categories: Sprint, RX (Raft Cross), and Slalom.

In the World Cup standings, Kenya posted commendable results. The men’s team won bronze behind the experienced Czech Republic side, which claimed silver, while Italy took gold. The women’s team also secured bronze, finishing behind the Neutral Team (Russia), who won silver, and Italy, who claimed gold. Kenya’s para rafting team added a silver medal, finishing behind Italy.

In the African Championships, Kenya dominated the competition, winning gold, silver, and bronze medals across the Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, and Para Rafting categories.

The competition began on 10 July with the Sprint races, followed by RX (Raft Cross) on 11 July, before concluding with the Slalom races on 12 July. A total of 61 teams from 18 countries competed in the event, while 35 countries participated in the championship.
